A journey shaped by words and voice

Eşref Ziya Terzi was born in Istanbul on 20 July 1969; his family roots on his father's side are in Bayburt. He is married and has three children. He graduated from Sarıyer Imam Hatip High School in 1988 and later completed his studies at Marmara University's Faculty of Theology.

Initially distant from music, he first entered the studio through Dr Ramazan Uçar, performing two pieces in the audio drama “Alim ve Tağut.” The album “Kalksam ve Dirilsem” became a turning point in his life.

In 1993, he co-founded Marmara FM with his friends. He entered cinema with “The İmam” in 2005, published “Hiçlerden Bir Hiç” in 2017, and presented TRT's Qur'an Recitation Competition in 2022.

In 2024, he returned to audiences with “Yeniden Başlamak,” for which he wrote the story and screenplay, produced the film and played the leading role. He remains the owner of Marmara Müzik.
